Dear El Nino 2013 Travelers & Parents,

The following is your El Nino 2013 bus departure information. Please read this email thoroughly and understand your departure information and the important information this message contains. It is imperative that you be at the bus departure location at the time indicated below in order to ensure a timely departure.

BUS DEPARTURE INFORMATION:

**This post does not include customized departure information.  Please click here to view the standardized departure information.

The Spot Time above is the time that the bus will arrive at the departure location. Please arrive at the departure location no more than 15 minutes after the indicated Spot Time. Many buses will be picking up travelers at multiple stops, so if your Spot Time is after 9:00AM, please don't worry if your bus is running slightly behind schedule, as it may have experienced a delay at the previous departure point.

ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY & ASSEMBLY BILL 45:
Since SWAT's inception in 1997, we've maintained a zero-tolerance policy with regards to the use or possession of alcohol and illegal substances by high school travelers. Travelers who are found to be using or in the possession of alcohol or illegal substances will have their parent or guardian contacted and will face varying degrees of disciplinary action, depending on the severity of the offense. In some cases, travelers will be sent home at their parent or guardian's expense without subsequent refund. We ask that all parents CHECK THEIR STUDENTS' LUGGAGE prior to dropping them off at the bus departure location in order to ensure no contraband items have been packed. It is imperative that our travelers' families assist our staff in helping make sure all travelers enjoy themselves safely, responsibly, and in accordance with the law.

Earlier this year, the California legislature passed Assembly Bill 45, also known as the Brett Studebaker Law, which goes into effect on January 1, 2013. AB45 requires that all charter-party carriers, such as charter bus companies and other chartered ground transportation providers, inform travelers that the consumption of alcohol by those under the age of 21 years old is illegal. The Bill also identifies severe legal ramifications for those who break the law. In addition to the disciplinary action imposed by SWAT, AB45 requires that travelers under the age of 21 who use or who are in the possession of alcohol or illegal substances on any bus at any time during the trip may be subject to fines of up to $1,000, imprisonment, and prosecution to the fullest extent of the law by local authorities. HOTEL INFORMATION:
All El Nino 2013 travelers will be staying at the Horizon Casino Resort in Stateline, Nevada. The contact information for the hotel is as follows:

Horizon Casino Resort
50 U.S. 50
Stateline, NV 89449
Phone: (800) 648-3322

SWAT 24-HOUR ROOM:
While El Nino 2013 is in operation, our Staff will run the trip from an on-site office in the hotel. This room is known as the "SWAT 24-Hour Room." Travelers will be given the room number upon their arrival and may go to the 24-Hour Room with any questions, special requests, or should they require assistance. Should parents need to contact our Staff during the trip, we ask that you please call or email our Customer Service Team. During the trip, our Customer Service Team will be available to answer calls from 7:00AM to 11:00AM and from 4:00PM to 8:00PM. If you attempt to reach our Staff during the hours that we aren't available to answer live calls, please leave a message which includes the traveler's name, the nature of your call, your name, and the best phone number to reach you including area code. Please note that sending an email to info@swatup.com will often yield a faster response. In order to control the volume of Customer Service requests we receive while on-site in South Lake Tahoe, and to minimize our response time, we ask that each person making a request only leave ONE voicemail and/or send ONE email. We will return your call or reply to your email as soon as possible.

HOW TO CONTACT US IF THERE'S AN EMERGENCY:
Should you experience a true emergency and need to reach our Staff during the hours that our Customer Service Team is unavailable, you may call the Horizon Casino Resort at the phone number indicated above and ask the hotel operator to transfer you to the "SWAT 24-Hour Room." As our management team is conducting the inner-workings of the trip from that room, we ask that you ONLY call the 24-Hour Room in the event of a TRUE emergency.

SWAT MEDICAL HOTLINE:
We ask that all El Nino 2013 travelers save the SWAT Medical Hotline phone number in their cell phone contacts list or address book. Our Medical Team has set up a toll-free phone line that is answered by a member of the SWAT Medical Staff to field medical assistance requests. Parents: Please DO NOT call the SWAT Medical Hotline unless instructed to do so by a member of the SWAT Medical Staff. They are not equipped to field Customer Service calls or requests.

The SWAT Medical Hotline phone number is (888) 958-5641.

We're looking forward to providing you with an Experience Unlike Any Other on SWAT El Nino 2013. The snow is falling and we couldn't be more excited to ride some of the best mountains on the West Coast. We hope that you have a safe and happy New Year and will see you in South Lake Tahoe!

Sincerely,
The SWAT Team
